Membership Policies:
To remain in good standing, members of Cornell’s chapter of AED must earn points by attending events, getting involved in community service, and helping to run the club. Here’s a breakdown of the minimum requirements:
Existing Members:
attend 2 out of 3/4 G-body meetings
attend 4 additional events of any type
New Members:
attend 2 out of 3/4 G-body meetings
attend 2 additional events of any type
*** Remember, if these requirements are too much for you, please communicate your concerns with us! As a reminder, there is also the option to opt out of this semester, as well - please email us (aedcornell@gmail.com) if that is better for you.
PROBATION AND DISMISSAL:
Members that are unable to meet the attendance expectation will be subject to the following:
Probation: A member unable to meet the minimum requirement for a given semester will be placed on probation for the following semester. To return to good standing, he/she would need to meet the minimum requirement for that semester.
NOTE: There are no additional stipulations for members on probation!
Dismissal: A member unable to meet the minimum requirement for a given semester while on probation will be dismissed from the society. He/she would be unable to attend future closed events and would also be unable to collect a graduation cord.
